Jayna Marie Jones became a Sexual Aggression Peer Advocate at Central Michigan University during undergraduate studies; this experience set the foundation for their desire to work with survivors of violence. Jayna Marie obtained their MSW with a concentration in Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) from Rutgers University. Upon graduation, Jayna Marie specialized in Psycho-Somatic approaches to address how trauma impacts the brain and body. Jayna Marie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York and New Jersey with over 12 years’ experience working with marginalized survivors of gender- based violence. Jayna Marie currently serves as Executive Director of HELP ROADS and facilitates trainings throughout the United States focused on gender-based violence approaches to survivor safety, trauma, and community engagement through a cultural humility lens.
